Abundant Life Church was officially formed in 2007 by the merging of two congregations: Bethel Baptist and Wildrose Christian Churches. Both were doing different things in different ways, but God saw fit to bring us together under a new name and with a new understanding of what God was up to in Glenbrook. In 2020, we sold our building and 2/3 of our property, and built a new, fit-for-purpose building on the remaining acre. We are currently located in our new space at 3343 49St SW. We’re excited to see what God has in store for the use of our building!

Abundant Life belongs to the Baptist General Conference of Alberta and the Baptist General Conference of Canada. These groups act as our governing bodies and resource centres. We conduct ourselves like Baptists when it comes to governance, but we welcome anyone and everyone, no matter what religious or non-religious background. We believe that while denominations have their place, God’s heart beats for the entire world, and we get to be a little slice of that heartbeat in Calgary.
